Hey folks,
I’m just going to give you a link to show #24 for now.
I *WILL* post some good show notes ASAP. (Right now I’m going to pass out because I have to go teach in the morning.)
In this show I review Desolation Jones by Warren Ellis & JH Willams III. GREAT BOOK!!!
Here is what the cover looks like.

Go to the comic shop and buy it NOW! I mean that if you don’t it WILL sell out!
I thought about sending a email to Warren Ellis about this show… I’m not sure if I should.
What do you all think?

The link to this show seems to be broken.
The link is fixed now, thanks LOTS for the heads up on that.

Hey Neil-
Mur Lafferty mentions this is in her podcast today and it is something I have been thinking about too, so I mention it. The art of Ex Machina is precise and technically great. But, don’t you think that it is a little - wrong? Mur has no better luck than I do putting her finger on the problem. I think that it is linked to all of the photo references the artists uses. The poses are stilted. It reminds me of how creepy animation that tries to copy real life is, as oposed to the wonderful ‘Incredibles’, which is what it is, a cartoon. I feel like Ex Machina tries to push realism to the point where it doesn’t serve the medium anymore. I have similar problems with some of Alex Ross’ work. Anyway, I am blathering. Great show.
