The two biggest reasons that I took such a long time away from the Comicology Podcast were…
1. I did not have enough time to read comics, and do the show.
2. I did not (and truth be told) still don’t have enough money to buy comics.
Now that I’m wraping up my Masters in Social Work (MSW) program I’ll have lots more time on my hands.
However, I’ll have student loans coming due very soon so money will continue to be a issue.
My plan is to continue to read comics in a digital format (I’m sure you can read in between the lines and suss out what I mean by that), and to barrow comics from my generous friends.
Having said that, I need to make a confession. I have no idea what is going on in Marvel. Seriously. I mean **NO** idea. I stopped reading Marvel right before the secret invasion.
The stories of Marvel have never been as complex as the stories of DC comics (which I think is a good thing by the way), so I thought I’d be able to just kind of jump right back in. However, after reading a few things about the upcoming Heroic Age it has become apparent to me that I really need to take some time to catch up on the major moving and shaking that has goen down in the good ‘ol Marvel U.
If anyone knows of a good summery of what has been going down? If so please let me know.
